FRENCH POLYNESIA

Hello Friends,

We have not yet heard about our visas from French Polynesia, but we expect to soon.  But soon we will have to make a decision whether to return to France or the territory of French Polynesia, as it takes several months for the visas.  In the meantime, we will be visiting churches to report, and also to try and raise more support.  We have not seen many churches
diminish or drop support for our ministries, but there have been a few due to the economic situation.  As you might be aware, the dollar is not doing well, most likely in response to the immense debt that our country now has accrued.  But we trust not in countries, nor presidents, nor leaders, nor horses, but in the Lord God of Heaven.

My father is about the same.  He weakens by the day, which it so be expected I guess.  He is fed via a tube, and only gets 2000 calories a day.  He cannot understand why he cannot gain strength, but without real food, he probably never will.  He is very tough, and I believe that what he has endured would have killed most men long ago.  I don't ever remember him being sick, and until this cancer struck him 17 years ago, he had great health.  He told me that the years of working in a paint shop, no protection, a cement factory, no protection, a grinding shop, no protection, a mechanic, no protection, probably caused the cancer.   But his physical strength is gone.  That is hard for him, for he was always a strong man.  Once a car fell on my brother, (an old, heavy car!) and my dad picked it up to free Tony!  I guess I am concerned that he will just pass out in the snow and freeze to death.  Then too, he needs to suction out his throat and lungs about 4 times a day, which he does himself.  He could just suffocate.  But his goings, as are ours, are in the hands of the Lord.
It is the way of all men, for we are appointed once to die. We all must deal with the demise of our parents, and then our own.  We praise the Lord that Dad is saved, as is Mary his wife.  She is  75 years old, but in good shape.  But the constant care my dad needs tires her a lot as well....  We ask for your prayers for them...

Thanks for listening.  Thanks for your support.  God bless,
