Dear Friends,

Just a note to let you know about the events of the last week.  The chalk drawing went very well.  It is the second time I have done the Titanic, and the drawing and the message both went very well. However, we only have church folks there, not one visitor.  We had delivered the flyers in  all the mail boxes, and invited many people personally, but frankly the results were discouraging.  Quite often, I would see people stopping to read the sign on the front of the church, with the poster announcing the Chalk Drawing and Message, but they did not come.
Another thing that was discouraging as well was my visitation last week.  I was able to witness, clearly giving the gospel three times, over 30 minutes each time, to Guy Bonnivarde, Noel Clappier, and Madame Cretet. I have mentioned them before.  Guy is about 70, as typical French as you can get, Noel is about 50, and Madame Cretet is about 70 or so.  Guy said he does not believe in God anymore, Noel has come to the point where God might exist (because of our influence, I believe) and Madame Cretet believes strongly, but is catholic and trusts in her prayers and good works.  Then again, she says one cannot be assured of Heaven.
We are here to give the Gospel, and we cannot convert the people, it is true.  The Lord must do that.  Still, in fasting and praying and preaching and working, surely the Lord will bless with fruit.  Well, we have passed the discouragement, and are now planning for the next event, the Mystery Night.  (On October 26, Saturday Night.)  We need about 18 people total to come, and of course are inviting some lost friends.  Roger and Sophie, Isabelle and her husband (Stephane's contact), Chantel, and Dave and Lol have a couple that have promised to come.  With Tami and I, Gloria, Stephane, we nearly have enough to do this thing. I have a few more couples to invite yet, such as Corinne and her husband, Fernando and Sabrina.   Each person plays a role, and in the end it becomes a living parable about Jesus.  Please pray the Lord will bless it, that we will have lost people come and be saved.
Thank you for your prayers.  We need your support in pleading with the Lord to have mercy on these hard necked, blinded, unbelieving people, that they might be saved.

In Christ,  Terry Morse and Family,  Alps of France
