TERRY and TAMI MORSE
WBF Missionaries to
FRENCH POLYNESIA
July 3rd, 2009
Hello Friends,
Just a quick update and a prayer request. We started services in a small
meeting room in Papeete two Sundays ago, with 7 people. We expect 10 to 15 this
Sunday, with those in attendance who are searching and need the Lord.
Yesterday we went door to door across the road from the marina (we do not
have a car) and I had the occasion to "preach on the street" for about 30
minutes to a group of young men. They listened very intently, and received the
tracts we had. I will revisit them next week if possible. Their names are Teva,
Dino, Freddy, Auguste, and the fifth was a Tahitian name that I for the life of
me, cannot remember. I will write it down next time. Please pray for them.
Then we visited the father and cousins of André. Jacques and Jeanne are
Mormons but very interested in the Gospel. They promised to come Sunday, with
André's father, who is about 74 years old. He does not speak French, but Mauri,
(the former Sanitos pastor who left that church because in reading the Bible he
found their doctrine was incorrect) will translate as I preach in French. I are
trying to learn a bit of the Polynesian language too, but that will take time.
Please pray for these folks. God bless,
Terry, Tami and Tobijah Morse
