FRENCH POLYNESIA
May 16, 2009 Update
Hello Friends,
We just sent out our newsletter, but here is an
update... We arrived in French Polynesia last week. I have been doing
repairs to the boat and have had contact with André. He still wants us to
come and start a church in his area. But first we had a surprise, again.
We were told we had a year to register the boat here, but we found out that
because we have our year visas, that rule does not apply. We must do it
right away. That means that we do not have a year to save for the taxes of
5,200 dollars, but must come up with it right away. I will meet with the
Tresor Public to see if they will allow us to pay in three payments during the
next three months.
So we ask that you pray that the Lord would
supply this need. The good thing is that we would no longer need to report
to the authorities each time we sailed to another island. They keep a
close eye on you!
If the authorities will let us, and I think they will
since we have started the process to register the boat, we will sail to Huahine
to make plans for the meetings there and at Raiatea and Tahaa in September.
Thus once again we covet your immediate prayers to God
on behalf of the ministry here. Thank you so very much for partnering with
us for the glory of God!
In Christ,
