FRENCH POLYNESIA

       We are currently in Virginia, awaiting the birth of Tiera’s baby.  It is due the 18^th, but as you all know, babies kind of come when they are ready!  Then we will be in Ohio and Michigan for March.

       We are making plans to move to the field soon, perhaps April.  We prayed much and gave much thought to taking a survey trip, and that is what I am going to do.  At this point, I will leave Detroit around March 11 to visit the territory for a week or 9 days.  There are so many unknowns about this mission that we felt it best to do so.  I have contacted the government officials, but have received different information concerning boats, licensing the boat, our paperwork, price of goods there, etc.  Thus I will go to get some answers and then we can plan better.  (For example, I have heard that all boats need a motor that is not more than 10 years old, for emission standards; we have heard that a washing machine can cost 1800$; and that there are no apartments available to rent.)

       Jacky, in France , nearly lost his hand.  The finger that he cut off with the circular saw while working on the church became infected, but as he was in Paris visiting his family, the hospital there caught the problem in time.  Thank the Lord he was not taken to Grenoble , where the operation was done.  I guess they are not too efficient there!  They left a stich in his finger that was done incorrectly and it caused the infection.   Please pray for him, as he thought he would retain the finger, but now it is gone.  The doctors will take off the knuckle in a few weeks.  That way, the middle finger can become the first finger without having the knuckle hindering it’s movement.  Please pray for him.

     We have continued to witness here in the States, but it seems that the spiritual climate has changed.  Few that we give tracts to are interested in God.  I fear that we are chasing after Europe in a strong run, and unless the Lord sends revival, America in a generation or so will resemble Europe .  Europe has no desire to seek God and most simply do not believe that He exists.  I believe that Europe will give birth to the Antichrist.  The Euro is becoming the world's currency, replacing the dollar. 

     We pray for you.  Your influence and witness here at home is so vital.  Our nation needs strong, Bible believing, preaching churches, or our course will continue to deviate from that of God’s, and we will someday find our nation shipwreck.  So we praise the Lord for you, and thank Him for your faithfulness.  May He keep you and bless you all!!
