September & October 2005 Dear Pastors and Friends: The Bible says in Matthew 28:19-20 "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and the Holy Ghost. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world" Then in Mark 16:15 the Lord says again "Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature." I have believed these verses for many years. I believe a missionary is supposed to "Go" not just stay in one place and pastor for years. When the Lord called me to preach the gospel and sent me to the mission field I understood that this was what I was supposed to do. Preach to the lost and dying of this world, baptizing them and teaching them to observe whatsoever the Lord has commanded us and thus "Planting Churches" in all the world. We arrived in Micronesia September 2nd. We traveled halfway around the world and when we arrived it felt like we had reached the end of the world. We arrived at night and all we could see were lights in a dark world. We visited two different Islands and landed on Saipan in the Northern Mariana Islands of Micronesia. We had been here a week and 4 different people told us they had been praying for us to come. Two different people praised God for sending us here. We knew the first week that this was where the Lord wanted us. The second week we found a house to rent. The third week our household goods arrived. We did not have time to unpack our clothing before people were on our porch and in our yard wanting to know when we would begin having services. Its been a long time since this missionary has had this kind of reception. The fourth week we found a building to rent for the church. We had our first service October 2nd with 22 in attendance. Our second Sunday we had 36 and yesterday, our third Sunday, we had 47 with 9 people saved so far. Ask me if I'm happy? The Lord is good for His mercy endureth forever. He has given us safety as we traveled. He has given us a place to live. He has given us a new people to work with. He has given us a nice building for our services. He has provided a van already for the work. I preached yesterday and I don't think anyone moved during the sermon. It seems like they are starved for God's Word. I hope you all pray for me, I may work myself to death over here. Thank you for all your prayers. We have had lots of blessings and God made everything go well. Pray that God will give us many souls for our labor. Our new field address is P. O. Box 503949 CK, Saipan, MP 96950.
