July & August 2005 Dear Pastors and Friends: The Bible tells us in I Corinthians 4:2 "...it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful." We must be busy about our Master's business. Wherever we are or wherever He leads. Not easily discouraged. Remaining faithful until he comes. We must be determined to carry on the work of the Lord. Preaching the Gospel of the Lord, winning souls and planting churches until the Lord comes. Teaching whatsoever the Lord has commanded us. Sometimes things change. We don't always understand what is going on. Governments change, political situations change, our lives change. Sometimes we don't understand why God allows these things to happen but we must always remain faithful even though we see through this glass darkly. I have felt for several years that the Lord wanted me to go and start a new work on another Island but the responsibility of this work has weighed heavy on my heart and I have not been able to leave until now. The violence and lawlessness has gotten increasingly worse in Jamaica and it is so bad that my wife and I have decided that we need to change fields now. We have been praying about this for quite a few years and have decided that it is time. We have been trying to work with the churches and get them to a point where they can carry on after we leave. Satan has fought us on every hand. We have come to the conclusion that the work is not ours but the Lord's and it will go on as He wants it to. We are leaving two churches, one mission and a Christian woman will be having an ACE school in our building and an orphanage on the property. We have prayed much about where to go and start a new work and we feel the Lord's leadership back to the Islands of Micronesia. We worked there in the early eighties and there is still a great need for missionaries. We will be leaving Jamaica as soon as possible. We don't know which Island we will be working on as yet. We hope to visit at least three and do a survey as to where we are needed most. We would like to ask you to pray for us as we make this transition and as we get settled on a new
Island and begin a
new work. Please do not send any more mail to Jamaica because they will not forward mail.
