Sept. 2006 Dear Co-Laborers: This recent tour in New Zealand was very successful and accomplished everything for which we made the trip. We were prepared to stay longer if needed but certain circumstances indicated that it would be wise to return home and seek the will of the Lord as to where we could be best used. At this point I will report on all that took place and how wonderfully the Lord is still blessing. There were two main purposes in going to New Zealand this time. (1). We were ask to come by the national pastor of Calvary Baptist Church, to assist in a small problem that had brought some discouragement within the work. I am happy to report that we were able to help and that the problem no longer exists. (2). We went also to investigate and seek knowledge as to how to advise the Densmore family (our grandchildren) as they plan to enter New Zealand as missionaries. We feel that we can now give them information that will be very helpful. We also left in storage much of what they will need to set up housekeeping. The tour also saw fruit which evidenced the blessings and approval of the Lord. Among those which Stella and I help led to the Lord were 4 young lads, one young lady, a mother with a large family, a Moslem lady from Iran and an elderly couple in their eighties who informed us that no one had ever visited their home and given them the gospel. Five of those who were saved were Maori (N.Z. tribal people). Another blessing came from the East Coast Bible Bays Bible Baptist Church, the church that we started more than 26 years ago. It has been under the leadership of Pastor Andrew Neville for about 18 years. Andrew was an early convert of the church. We had bought a large block of land (1984) and built a nice church building with Sunday School rooms. Part of the land in the back was not useful at that time, but we felt that God had a purpose in that also. Pastor Andrew informed me that the church now has an offer of over $400,000, for that unused land. We paid less than $200,000 for the whole plot. A new building program is needed and is being considered. These blessing of the Lord have been fruit from the faithfulness of you who have pray for and supported Stella and me in these ministries. We are in our mid-70's, but as the sun sets on our ministry, it still shines brightly on our students, our children, and our grandchildren. If you ask what do we need, my answer is, pray for us, and send our grandchildren (the Densmore missionary family) to carry on. We will keep you updated on what the Lord has for us.
