January 2003

Dear Pastor, Church and Praying Friends,

In December we were privileged to present a drama of the "Three Trees" in the churches and missions.  It was performed by institute students from every church.  We saw many people come to know Christ through this presentation.  It was such a blessing to present the traveling drama in five different villages.  It was especially interesting in Jitzamuri, when the lights went out just as we began the drama.  The truck lights shinning in the front door gave it an authentic presentation.  Above all, we are thankful for the decisions that were made for Christ.

In the past two months we have seen sixteen people make decisions for Christ in the works in Cruz Pinta and Higueras.  In the village of San Miguel five people have accepted Christ as their personal Savior.  Please continue to pray for the work here among the Mayos.

We are in the process of putting the roof on the building in Higueras. We are thankful to Temple Baptist Church in Dumas, TX and Grace Baptist Church in Ft. Worth for their love offerings, which have helped purchase the materials for the roof.

We will be starting a new semester in the Bible Institute this February. There will be three graduating at the end of this semester.  Please pray that these will seek the Lord's will in their lives, so that they may be used in the work to win their people to the Lord.

At the end of July we will be returning to the states to begin our first furlough.  We are trying to get things in order to leave the works in good hands.  We have a married couple and other institute students who have been working with us in the missions.  We would like to be able to purchase them a small truck so they will be able to continue the works while we are not here.  If you would like to  help in this need it would be a great blessing to the work among the Mayos.

We greatly appreciate your gifts and cards during the Christmas season. Thank you for your love and concern for the Mayo people of Mexico.

In Christ,
