Dear Co-Laborers,                                                    January 2004

What a blessing it is to serve the Lord as a missionary. We have the privilege of watching from day to day as God performs miracles in the lives of people.

For several months I hare shared with you the spiritual change God is making in the life of Manuel. It all began with a "casual" meeting with him because of some clothing alterations we had done at his tailor shop. From that key moment in time until now, a miracle has taken place. First a friendship was established which led to a Bible study.  That study confirmed the Bible truth that God's Word will not return void; Manuel received Christ in October 2003.

Through continued studies of God's Word, Manuel made the decision to be baptized on the 11th of January. The Miracle? Manuel had come from being at the point of entering the Jehovah's Witnesses to being born again, baptized and now has the same vision we have of reaching Chile for Christ.

Many people may not see this story as being so spectacular, but this is a scene that will be repeated time after time because you support a missionary family in Chile.

THANK YOU!

We have been overseeing a mission work in Algarrobo on the Pacific coast of Chile since March of last year all the while praying that the Lord would open a door for us in Santiago.

On January 25th we will have our first service in Santiago. What a wonderful way to begin a new year finally meeting together with the contacts God has given us in Santiago. Luz Marina, a language professor in the city was also baptized on January 11. Her daughter Claudia a university student will be baptized in our first meeting.

Please continue to pray for Manuel's wife, Ana Maria, and their daughter Franchesca.  Ana Maria finally had the surgery on her throat and neck to remove some cancerous glands I wrote about earlier. Before her surgery, she became very much aware of her need for God to intervene in her life, but now since things seem to be ok with her health, she has become cold and seems to have forgotten about the Lord. The doctors are still studying the tumor in Franchesca's head to try to determine what measures to take to treat it.

Barbara and I thank you for your faithful support.

Chile for Christ,
Larry and Barbara Koehn
