Lonnie & JoAnn King
HISPANIC MINISTRY

Sept and Oct. 2009

JoAnn and I praise the Lord from the depths of our hearts, because during our many years of ministry we have had very few health problems. The cost of medication for our family has been minimal. But during this year...we have experienced some trying times for us since our "old" bodies seem to be wearing out, so to speak.

Just after the Christmas holidays I contracted the "shingles" that lasted over a month. A time which I do not want to have to go through again.  Later on in the year JoAnn had some problems trying to find the right blood pressure medicine, something that wouldn't cause other related problems. Thank the Lord that has been resolved...

About a month or so ago I came down with a slight pneumonia which caused a different kind of lung problem brought on by breathing a chemical that is present in the dust that is in the air here in Arizona.  It is not contagious and is not fatal (if I take care of myself)...However, it takes several months to get over what if called "valley fever". I have about two months of meds to take yet. I am MUCH better, so please continue to pray for my recovery.

We have had to put our Spanish services on "hold" for right now, since this "fever" has affected my voice. We still continue to see great things here in the church. We have had some people saved lately, and the senior saints ministry is going well. Our Spanish speaking adults have a part in that ministry also.

So all in all the Lord has been blessing the ministry with visitors in most every service.. for which we do praise Him.

Thanks again to each and everyone who continues to support us. We are so grateful ...May the Lord bless you.

Because of Calvary,

Lonnie and Jo Ann
