Christmas
2007
“…
and his name shall be called Wonderful,
Counselor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, the Prince
of Peace.”
Merry
Christmas from the Jankys:
As
we prepare for the Christmas Season and a new year, it is our desire
to renew our stand for God and His purposes. It seems
like all around us evil is gaining the victory. People don’t
want to commit to God’s service. This is nothing new.
When our Savior came to this earth as a babe in
Bethlehem
, the world for the most part had forgotten God. But, then,
Jesus, the Light of the World came and made a difference. At
this very special time of the year, when we celebrate the coming of
the Light, let us renew our commitment to our Savior. Take a
stand and make a difference in your world where God has you at this
time in your life. Ask God to give us new opportunities to serve
Him.
Why
is it each year we are let down so hard? Is there something
about Christmas that we disregard? The Babe in the manger became
a great man who died and then rose again… that was God’s plan.
His birth and His death were planned to make men aware that He loves
the entire world. If we know that Christ loves us and is always
near, then Christmas should come every day of the year for us.
The
calls and letters that find their way to our home from the field share
the wonderful blessings of God on the works there. The call of
God is all about people. The work completed as “our
ministry” is truly to the glory of God. We accomplished
nothing. He did it all! The peace and joy that floods our
souls when we see God blessing the work there is beyond description.
We
continually seek your prayers for
Sandy
as she deals with severe pain in her back, left thigh and hip.
Surgery is out for the time being but they have sent her to Physical
Therapy to see if they can give her some relief. The Arthritis
has caused a narrowing of the bones in her back which has pinched the
Sciatic nerve.
We
want to say thank you for being a part of our ministry. We know
that it is because of your love, prayers and faithfulness that we have
been able to accomplish some of our goals and desires for the Lord..
May
God grant you the desires of your heart, and add to that abundant
blessings, for the coming year. We wish you a Merry Christmas
and a Happy New Year!
