June 2008
Dear Pastor and Faithful Prayer Partners,
Mary and I have completed our seventh term of service
in Brazil and have recently returned to the USA in order to report to
our supporting churches and seek to raise some additional support. As
most of you know, for a missionary to work in Brazil, as well as in many
other countries, his buying power has been reduced by over 70%. We know
that our wonderful Lord is in control of every situation and He wants us
to be faithful in our labor and prayers. We covet your prayers,
therefore, that God will enable us to raise some additional support.
This term was very fruitful. Two hundred and ten
people were saved through the ministry of the First Baptist Church of
Pau
D' Arco. Many others were saved through the ministries of the Bible
Baptist Institute of the North, the El Shalom Independent Baptist Youth
camp, and our missionaries within the tribes and in other cities and
towns around Brazil. Our mast recent church is now totally indigenous
and growing. We praise the Lord for His goodness, mercy and wonderful
grace.
During this coming year, the work is continuing on
back in Brazil. Three big camps in July and a family retreat in
February. Our Bible Institute will have five graduating students in
December with an expected increase in enrollment next semester. We ask
that you pray for the ministries of our two sons, John and Kyron, and
their families as they will be doubling their loads in some ministries
during our absence.
We will soon begin our traveling and covet your
prayers on our behalf. We are also looking forward to being in your
church to share with you the things God has done in and through our
lives this last term, and what we are asking Him to do in the years to
come. We love you and are grateful for your faithful prayer and
financial support during so many years. May God richly use, bless and
keep you.
Laboring together in the Service of our precious
Lord,
Bill and
Mary
