The Lord continues to work among and through our
people here in Tijuana. Each week there are new visitors in the services
of the church, and souls are saved in all the services. Our area
continues to develop, and as the new housing additions are completed and
occupied,
there are new soul-winning teams formed to work them. We just hosted a
La Espada Bible Conference, which was richly blessed with great
preaching from guest speakers and over 900 in attendance in the evening
services. What a revival it was for the church and all that attended!
We are pleased to report that we have 50 students enrolled in the
Bible Institute this year, in preparation for the area of service to
which the Lord may lead them. Pray with us that each of them will
complete the four year course, and that we who are teaching may prepare
them well.
The situation with the assessment for the new highway
is at a standstill for the moment. We have submitted paperwork to go to
the governor, but have not heard from it yet. Please continue in prayer
concerning this important matter.
The Niņos Del Camino Children's Home does well also.
We currently have 19 children, and are in the process of building a dorm
to house 38 children and dorm parents. There will be a group from
Dover, PA here this week to continue work that was started on that
project in February by Mansfield Baptist Temple of Ohio. Pray with us
for the needed funds for materials. We would love to make this Christmas
a special time for these children. by giving them and the institute
students a great party with food and individual gifts. Please pray with
us that the funds will be made available so we may be able to make this
a reality.
Yours for others,
Norm & G1oria Higgins
