Dear Prayer Partners:
"Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them." Mark 11:24
Some missionaries call their letters "newsletters", while others call them "prayer letters."  This letter is truly a prayer letter (as well as a praise letter). We have been on the field for over 34 years, and as we consider where He has brought us from and where he has brought us to, we think of the words from a hymn, "We have come this far by faith." Our Lord has been so good to provide whenever we have had a pressing need. It seems that those needs are becoming greater and more frequent, but we know that He has brought us to this point, and He will carry us on.
The Mexican government is now demanding that the property owners along the new highway pay for the highway. Because we are very near it, and we have between 9 and 10 acres of land, they are assessing us for a payment of between 70 and 80 thousand dollars, with either 1 year to pay with no interest, 3 years with interest; or pay with property, according to their assessed value (probably a third of our land). We can't afford to lose it. The government wants this area developed, and we feel that it sees this as a means to obtain property to sell to developers. While we are exercising every possible means for relief, through government contacts because of the children's home, and through other legal means, we ask that you take to heart the above verse, and diligently PRAY with us concerning this pressing need.
Another prayer need is Gloria's health. As a result of the combination of arthritis and fibromyalgia, she is in need of a series of chiropractic treatments for several months. It will be expensive, and our insurance will not cover any chiropractic treatment, nor do they offer any alternative. Please pray that the Lord provide for these treatments, that she may have some relief.
The Lord continues to bless the church with souls saved each week and believers being obedient in baptism and growth. He continues to bless the bible institute with dedicated students eager to prepare for His service. He continues to bless the children's home with boys and girls that are under the sound of the Gospel receiving Christ as Savior and serving Him as witnesses of His grace. Please continue to pray for the ministries here. Thanking you for your faithfulness, we remain:

                                                                     Yours in Him,
