Dear Praying Friends:
We rejoice to able to share with you some of the blessings that our Lord has poured out on your ministry here in Tijuana. There were 1096 first-time visitors in the services of the church last year, the result of an average of 80 folks out on visitation weekly. There were 80 new believers that followed their Lord in baptism during the past year. Thus far this year there have been 130 professions of faith, with 10 following in baptism.
The Bible Institute continues to do well, and we are looking forward to seeing two students graduate this June. Two of our past graduate couples are busy now, visiting churches in effort to raise support so they may go to areas to which they feel led to minister and begin new churches. Bro. Samuel Alvarez and his wife, Lizbeth, are preparing to go to Loreto, a city in lower Baja California, and begin the first Baptist church in that area. Bro. Jose Reyes and his wife and 2 children, are going to Ciudad Hidalgo, Chiapas, a city near the Guatemala border, also to begin the first Baptist church in that area. Bro. Ruben Cabrera, a graduate who began the Baptist church in Santa Rosalia, lower Baja, from which Bro. Samuel came, has left that church and has moved to the Mexicali area to begin yet another Baptist church. Another of our graduates is candidating for the church that Bro. Ruben has left. Please pray for these men and their families as they trust the Lord to supply and to bless. What a joy to see our graduates step out by faith to do the Lord's work.
The children's home also continues to do well. What a blessing to see the Lord work in these young lives, children taken from broken or violent homes or off the streets, to see them saved and grow in grace. We are grateful to the Mansfield Baptist Temple and their group that came in February to do the drywall work on the new 2-story dorm for the children. Please continue in prayer with us that the needed funds be supplied that we may complete this building soon. We still lack plumbing fixtures, water heaters, light fixtures, bunks and other items.

Yours in Christ,

Norm & G1oria Higgins
