November 2008
Dear Prayer Partners,
At the turn of
the last century (1900) there were 27 churches for every 10,000
Americans. By the 1950’s
there were only 17 churches for every 10,000 Americans, and by 1985 that
figure had fallen to 12 churches for every 10,000 Americans.
Two reasons have been given for this:
Population growth and the fact that over 80% of churches had
either peaked or were in decline. It
is reported that every year in America 2,000 new churches are started,
but 4,000 close their doors.
Research shows
that every 20 minutes:
 | 71 teenagers in America were
arrested
|
 | 53
babies were born to unwed mothers
|
 | 45
students dropped out of high school
|
 | 47
marriages ended in divorce
|
 | 100
people died—one of whom was murdered

Our God has
placed three institutions here on planet earth in this order—the home, governments, and the church.
All three of these divine institutions are under siege, and
Satan, through human instrumentality, seeks to hinder in whatever way
possible all three. None of
these will cease to exist; however, the enemy seeks to make them as
dysfunctional as possible, and this is just one of many reasons why we
must become involved in and committed to Home Missions.
The Lord
permitting, we will see the genesis of a new work in south Grand
Prairie, Texas the first of December.
Bro. Will Milby will begin what will be perhaps our first
cross-cultural ministry among a very diverse community of Anglos, Blacks
and Hispanics, in Grand Prairie. Pray
for Bro. Milby. Nine
churches have committed to support for one year beginning in January new
works in Gearnsy, Wyoming, Mooncraft, Wyoming, Sinclair, Wyoming and
Layton, Utah. Folks,
we need new churches to help us in the area of world evangelism, from
our Jerusalem to the uttermost. Please
pray for and support Home Missions.
Thank you for
your support for both Home Missions and our ministry in Home Missions.
Unworthily His,
Wendell & Daisey
