OCTOBER 2006
Dear Friends in Christ,
Church planting in a new dark age, in an attempt to awaken and stimulate
the moral character of
America
sometimes seems to be a losing battle, doomed to failure.
It is difficult to think of church planting in times that seem so much
like the end. But if there is any
hope, it is to be found in a renewed vision by young preachers committed to
birthing a church in the 21st century.
We must be a people of conviction, prepared to offer the world the
message of salvation in Christ Jesus, filled
with courage, duty, commitment, and heroic effort—this will inflame the moral
imagination of our
Jerusalem
, and
reach to the uttermost.
Can the tsunami of immorality that threatens our nation be
resisted? I hope and believe so.
It has happened before. We
must go forward in obedience, in hope, even in joy, preaching the Gospel of
Christ and planting churches.

In a recent newsletter we told you
that Bro. Charlie Brown had located a place to meet—a senior citizen center in
McGregor. In the first service at
the center there were 42 people in attendance.
