Cecil and Saundra were approved by the World Baptist Fellowship Mission Committee to go to the field of Brazil in 1966.

Cecil was saved in a revival meeting at Bible Baptist Church in Electra, Texas when he was thirteen years old.

Saundra's Sunday School teacher led her to the Lord at South Riverside Drive Baptist Church in Fort Worth in 1956.

Both Cecil and Saundra attended Bible Baptist Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas and Cecil graduated in 1966.

They were married at East Berry Street Baptist Church in Fort Worth in 1964.

Their sending church is the Riverside Baptist Church of Indialantic, Florida.  Because of family responsibilities they returned to the States and began a Portuguese ministry in Temple Baptist Church in Ft. Worth.  Cecil went home to be with his Lord March 10, 2005 after battling many complicated health issues.

They have three children - Sundae, Rachel and Lucas.
