Dear Friends and Helpers,

“And a vision appeared to Paul in the night; there stood a man of Macedonia, and prayed him, saying, come over into Macedonia, and help us.”   Acts 16:9

            We would like to share with you in this letter several testimonies and how God has dealt with each one to accomplish His will.  Peter had always dreamed of leaving his home land of Chile and visit other countries.  His dream was to visit the United States one day.  He left home with just a few dollars in his pocket.  When he got to Brazil there was a great language barrier because he spoke only Spanish and not Portuguese.  He had a very hard time.  He finally made it to Belem which is in the Amazon region.  There he became very ill with malaria.  He decided this was not such a good idea so he left for Manaus thinking of going back to Chile.  While in Manaus, he met Christiane and married her.  They eventually had 4 beautiful girls.  He built a small home for them close to the suburb of Novo Aleixo.  This was the year of 2000.

            That same year Betty and I had been searching for a piece of property to start a new Work.  We looked at many places but God completely closed the door on several areas.  We were getting a little discouraged so we prayed again asking God’s guidance.  He had a piece of property all picked out for us in the suburb of Novo Aleixo.  After we had started for a few months, we found out that one of our graduates from the Bible Institute lived close by.  We invited her to help us.  Her next door neighbor happen to be Peter and Christiane.  So every Saturday and Sunday she would faithfully bring their girls to church.  Soon all of the girls came to know Christ as their Savior. Cristiane began attending Bible Club with her girls and was finally  saved.  It was time for our furlough so we invited a young couple both graduates of the Bible Institute to take our place. In our absence Pastor Jomar led Peter to Christ.   Both of these couples have become great friends.   Cristiane graduated from the Child Evangelism Fellowship teaching Course and is a dedicated Sunday School Teacher.  Peter leads singing in the church services, brings a devotional once in awhile and does whatever he can to help.  They are both a blessing. 

            Peter has had such a burden for his family in Chile, so in January of this year after 18 years he finally went home and shared with them how Christ had changed his life.  When he came back he was extremely burdened about his family.  We all began to pray, God, please send someone there to witness to his family.  During these months of prayer God began to touch the hearts of Pastor Jomar and Regiane.  They finally realized they both had a burden to go to Chile as missionaries.  Peter and Christiane will be moving to Chile in January and Pastor Jomar and Regiane are going with them on a survey tripand also so they can put their presentation together for the churches that they will visit.  Please pray for them that they can get their support quickly.

            God moves in mysterious ways and we must always be in His will so He can accomplish within us His perfect will.  This is what missions is all about.  You sent us to Brazil and we are sending out others.  We also support a brazilian family to Venezuela.  All of you who give and pray will have a part in this ministry.  Thank you for sending us that we may send others around the world.
