ELAINE HAWKINS BRAZIL
Joe and Elaine have been World Baptist Fellowship missionaries to Brazil since October 1965. Bro. Joe went home to be with the Lord March 11, 2011. The family had a private graveside service on Saturday, March 12th and a memorial service was held at Pleasantview Baptist Church, Arlington, Texas on Tuesday, March 15th. It was through his brother-in-law that Joe came to know Christ in 1947 at age 14. Elaine was ten years old when she was saved. Joe and Elaine were married in 1954 at Grace Fundamental Church in Los Angeles, California. Their sending church is Anchor Baptist Church in Salt Lake City, Utah. They have six children - Tim, True, John Jr, Melinda, Neila and Esther.
