NATIVE AMERICANS

Dear Friends in Christ,

Happy New Year!  Our letter to begin 2009 brings both sad and happy news.

On December 10 Brother Warren Bell was called home to Glory.  His funeral service was the following Saturday and there was a good number of our folks at the celebration of his home going.  We grieve with his widow, Gypsy, and know that he has gone home to receive his reward for faithful service.  Believe me; the doors to Faith Baptist would have surely closed except for his helping Sister Bonnie.  Thank you for praying for him during his short struggle with his cancer.  I know that his wife and family appreciate you holding them up before the throne.

As to the happier news, we set a new attendance record of twenty-seven on December 21 for our Christmas service.  We had sixteen first-time visitors for the day.  Praise the Lord!  All the children present received a small Christmas gift (for some this would most likely be the only one they received).  Our ladies were also presented with a beautiful Christmas ornament/sewing kit that was handmade by a sixth grader, Miss Alexis Noyes, of Wolcott, NY.  The ladies were simply amazed at the workmanship and thoughtfulness of this young lady that they have never met.  Thank you so much, Alexis!

Thank you for your prayers; out of this one service we gained several very, good contacts.  Please pray that we'll be able to follow these up and see these families begin attending regularly, and that we would see them all come to know Jesus Christ as their Saviour.

Keep praying for Ron Kauyedauty.  He is no longer employed at the local casino.  However, even with time off he has only been in a few services.  Please continue to pray for his salvation.

In closing, thank you for your cards, e-mails, and gifts during the Christmas season.  Words cannot begin to express our true feelings for your kindness and thoughtfulness.  May our Lord richly bless all of us in 2009!

Sincerely,

Bradley & Ronda Hastings
