Dear Praying Friends,

Christmas is a time of blessings and this year I received a great many of them. As you know from my last letter, my parents took a trip to Mozambique in November and December. They were to arrive in Dallas on the 22nd of December. What with delayed departures and flights overbooked, they had an "adventuresome" trip home. I think they would call it the most exhausting flight they had ever taken. But, they did arrive in time to spend Christmas with my siblings and me. That was blessing number one. Number two was all of my immediate family was there including my brother-in-law, Nelson. The third blessing is, I am to be an aunt. My sister announced at Christmas that she and Nelson are expecting a baby due in July or August. So, my Christmas was very good. I hope yours was equally as good.

This month I am getting all my paperwork together to apply for my visas. Please be in prayer that this will go smoothly and quickly. I will be turning in my application by the end of January. My goal is to be on the field by late spring. I am at 70% of my support and looking to God to bring in the rest.

My co-workers are leaving in February. Please pray for their safe travels. They were able to get not only a house, but also a vehicle and a bank account. For a one week trip, they accomplished a lot, especially as Portugal is the land of "Drown you with bureaucracy and take twice as long as possible" or so it seems at times. But then we know that God is a God of miracles and He makes no mistakes.

In closing, please be in prayer for my sister. Because she broke her back last Christmas, her pregnancy could get complicated. Also pray for my visa application that it will go well.

"Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen." Ephe. 3:20-21
