Dear Mission Team of Supporters and Prayer Warriors,
In recent weeks it has been encouraging to see the Lord answer
prayers in our ministry. We have started Sunday morning services
at a new location in a community called The Afon Village.
Presently, we have been given the use of the local community center at a
very reasonable weekly rate. This is a new building that is real
convenient in meeting our needs. Also, in preparation for this area our
church team distributed 1000 gospel invitations. Our attendance has been
averaging 8 people with 3 first-time visitors. Praise the Lord!
With 8 people on Sunday mornings and about 12 people on Sunday nights
we have made the Word a priority in ministry. It is very important to
communicate to these believers the Word for their understanding. It has
been challenging for us to put aside our Texas and American slang. We
have been diligent to learn to use a choice of words that are fitting
for the UK. Otherwise, our message would be of none effect. It has been
a blessing to have Tom and Patti Wheeler help us improve our
communication skills.
Occasionally, we have needs that come up quite suddenly and without
warning. These needs have been expensive due to the exchange rate for
the weak dollar. But with each need the Lord has been gracious to
provide. For example, we are obligated to pay income taxes while living
in the UK. Though we do not have the income that demands a lot of tax,
we must hire a tax consultant. It is this tax consultant that is very
expensive($1200). Nevertheless, the Lord has provided and we have yet to
see the ministry hindered by such things. Thank you Lord!
We do thank you so much for the support and praying for us. Your
generosity does not go unnoticed. We appreciate you and are
praying for you.
