Dear Friends,                                                                                                          July 2010

Without the presence and power of the Lord Jesus I am nothing. With every breath and every movement the Lord sustains me. It is the grace of God, your prayers and your economic help that make it possible to see souls saved.  There are not always the results I would like but your prayers help me to continue sowing the Gospel in Mexico. Many times we learn to sow in times of plenty as well as in scarcity, in times of strength as well as in weakness, in times of peace and during adversity, in times of a great harvest as well as in times of little or no results. It seems that Mexicans, just like in other parts of the world, are caught up in the economic crisis and many in an effort to make ends meet have no time for the Lord. When they have a few hours free, this time is usually spent on personal projects or relaxation.

On Sunday the 6th of June I found myself in prayer asking God for His help while I was driving to the houses along my bus route. The family of my fellow bus worker, another bus worker, me and one other family filled the van that Sunday morning. Upon arriving to the church I was met by a young couple. The lady asked if I remembered her.  After checking my memory for a few minutes, she told me who they were. Some time ago while on bus visitation I stopped on the street to witness to her. She never was able to come to our services due to her job. She has moved to a new neighborhood and has another job allowing her to come to church. That Sunday both she and her husband were saved.

Thank you for being concerned about the safety of your missionaries serving here in Mexico. There are still kidnappings, shootings and murders due to the drug cartels taking place throughout the state, country and locally. Some of my Sunday School class members live in very rough neighborhoods on the mountain. Please pray for the safety of these young ladies from my special education class. While on visitation and ladies soul winning one day, my partner came across a woman who had experienced a kidnapping in the family. My partner gave her the plan of salvation and she was saved. I believe that almost every family in our congregation has been affected either directly or indirectly by the violence around us.

Upon closing, I have another prayer request concerning my health. I have been troubled by aches in my joints and serious digestive tract issues.

Thank you for remaining faithful to your commitment in mission giving. PSALM 71: 18
