Your Missionaries to Ecuador Ernie and Monoka Brown Jan. 2005 Dear Praying Friends, We have had a very interesting couple of months. The laptop computer we bought to use for correspondence on furlough has had to have two new mother boards installed and then Windows needed to be reinstalled. We are not sure what happened but we now are in the process of installing the programs one by one. Also Ernie came down with a case of Shingles the first week of Jan. The medicine prescribed for him resulted in causing very bad head aches and a feeling of aloofness. This took place while we were trying to pack for our return to Ecuador. But we are home once again and returning to normal, whatever that might be. Upon returning we have seen several wonderful things. The Bible Institutes are running smooth. In Cangahua they are having classes this week. They use the class plan of coming together every three months for a week. They study from 7AM till at least 7PM, taking time off for lunch and breaks. This coming Monday the Institute in Candelaria will be having finals. We have lost several students because of work but are praying that they will be able to return in the future. Would you pray for the students as they strive to make a living and also be faithful in their studies? We will be witnessing one of the blessings this Saturday. Bro. Pedro Lincango will be ordained and also the Misión Biblica Bautista de San José will be organized into a local church. This was one of the first areas that we, along with Gary & Sandy Janky, were asked to help organize as a preaching point. Bro. Pedro has been faithful in leading this mission and we have watched as they have won many souls to the Lord and have built their building. The Sunday before our return, Victory Baptist in Quito had one person come forward and accept Christ as their Savior. Bro. Edmundo and his wife are working in order to pay their bills but they are being faithful in the work. It was great to be with them on the first Sunday of our return and a bigger surprise as they planned a meal for our return. The fellowship was sweet and of course the food was great. They are very special people. Once again we say thank you for your prayers and support. We are honored to represent you here in Ecuador.
