prayer letter.
Dale and I, being a great team, have designated responsibilities.
Writing letters is Dale’s forte, not mine. My specialty is editing
whatever Dale has written. Needless to say, it is never too late to
start a new challenge.
Many of you would have received information concerning
Dale via email. Others will be reading this news for the first time. If
possible, we would appreciate any new email addresses so that we may
keep you informed in the days ahead.
On February 23, Dale went to the emergency room because
he lost mobility in his right leg. The doctors ruled out a heart attack
or stroke and referred us back to our family doctor. On Monday, February
25, we saw our doctor. He immediately sent us back to the emergency room
where Dale was seen by a neurologist. After conducting several basic
tests, she gave Dale a pre-diagnosis of Multiple Sclerosis. An MRI was
completed on March 7. We are waiting for the results. Because of
socialized medicine in New Zealand, the medical system is very slow. Our
family doctor is trying to speed the result process to no avail. We
would appreciate your prayers for Dale.
We are still busy with the work here in New Zealand.
Dale is still able to teach and preach. We have had many visitors over
the last several months. Our Sunday School/Bible Study time has grown in
number and our youth group has needed to move to a larger room. Even in
this difficult time, God continues to show us that He is in control.
As we have often said, we could not continue without
your prayer and financial support. Thank you for your faithfulness.
Janet, Dale, and Micah
