Dale was led to Christ by his youth director in March, 1972, at the age of 17. He became the youth director of Pleasantview Baptist church in 1982.

Janet was saved in November, 1972. She is also a 1982 graduate of Arlington Baptist College. She was married to Dale at the Calvary Baptist Church in Wayne, Michigan in May, 1981.

Dale and Janet consider both the Pleasantview Baptist Church in Arlington, Texas and the First Baptist Church of Canton, Michigan as their home churches.

The Browns have three sons, Nathan, Joshua and Micah.
