Dear Co-Labourers in Christ, June-August 2002
Thank you to all of you who responded
to our need for travel expenses in the passing of my father. There
was an overwhelming response and God met our need through your
demonstration of the love of Christ. Thank you also for your prayers and
cards, they were used of God to encourage and strengthen us in this
time. Please continue to pray for my mother, Sally Brim , as God
led us to return to the ministry here in Brazil and leave her
in His tender care. This was not an easy decision, but God has
provided a good independent Baptist church that has been caring and
ministering to her spiritual needs.
God has placed His stamp of
approval on our return to Brazil, twelve adults have been saved in the
last month. Six are men six are women. Praise God for these that
have received eternal life. One thing that all of these people have in
common is they are either family members or neighbors of members of the
church. It is through these Christians testimony and witness that these
have come to know our Lord. I would ask that you pray for the men for who
have a drinking problem that God will give them victory and a clear
testimony. Please pray also for Sualee, this new lady convert needs a
heart valve replacement. Pray that God will open the doors for her to
have this surgery quickly and be able to serve Him with the rest of
her life; she is only 31 years old. Pray that God will strengthen
all of these new babes in Christ and use them for His honor and
glory.
We thank you for your part in our
ministry and pray daily that God will pour you out a great blessing.

Dear Co-laborers,
What a blessing to share with the churches in Pennsylvania
and Ohio what God is doing in Brazil. We have been overwhelmed by their
kindness and goodness to us.
We have seen God move in the services during this furlough
for which we praise Him. We were privileged to see a family with five
children surrender to the mission field in a missions conference.
We know that we had only a small part in this decision, but thank God
for His goodness in this answer to prayer. Please pray that we will be
used to see others surrender
their lives to full-time service.
We thank the Lord also for a man who accepted Christ in an
invitation recently in Ohio. Please pray for spiritual growth and
victory in his life.
We thank each of you for your prayers for God has blessed
and protected us because of them. We remain...
His in the white fields,

July-August 2001
Dear Praying Friends
We greet you in the name above all names. We have started a six month
furlough. We hear good reports from Bro. Alton Smith on the work there
in Brazil. Souls continue to be saved and the people are growing in the
Lord. Please continue to pray for God's hand of blessing on the Smiths
and the church there.
We had the privilege at a church camp to challenge teenagers about
full-time service. Four responded to the challenge for which we praise
the Lord. We also had the blessing to lead two other campers to Christ.
We thank the Lord for these blessings.
We appreciate each of you who faithfully support us financially and
through prayer. God truly has blessed our ministry in Brazil with many
victories and souls saved. We will not be able to share personally
with all of you due to the length of our furlough and the need to be
close to my father since his recent heart surgery. We thank you for your
understanding and will try our best to see you our next time back.
Yours for Him,
The Brim Five

Jan. - Mar.
2001
Dear Praying Friends,
Greetings in the name of our Lord. We praise the Lord for His continuing
goodness. This year has seen already God's blessing and grace. God
has blessed by saving twenty one precious souls. Three men, six ladies,
five teenagers and seven children. Of these twenty one people saved four
were couples. The ladies were saved January 2 and the men were saved
January 28. We ask your prayers for Joseval and Silvia and Antonio and
Maria to see their need to be married and to grow spiritually. Pray also
for grace for Antonio and Maria as we buried their seven month old
granddaughter three weeks ago. Two of the ladies are also mother and
daughter. Dio, the daughter, was saved first on Jan 3 and Dona Zeze was
saved March II. Dio has a day school. She invited one the ladies of the
church to bring a Bible lesson every Saturday afternoon instead of the
people from the Catholic church. Last Saturday was the first lesson and
an eight year-old boy was saved. Pray for God's blessing on this
ministry and for others
to be reached through it.
Pray for all these twenty one new converts that they will grow
spiritually and be faithful in the Lord's house. We also had the
privilege to unite one of our young couples in marriage. Guaraci and
Sandra have surrendered their lives to serve the Lord in missions and
are preparing themselves studying in the Bible Institute in the capital
Pray for God's hand of blessing on this couple in their new life
together.
We baptized eight last Sunday and have at least that many taking a
baptismal class in preparation for the next baptism. Praise God for
those who took this step of obedience and united with the church. God
has blessed here because of your faithful prayers and support. Only
heaven will reveal all that has been accomplished here in Arembepe,
Brazil because your love for souls. May God pour you out a blessing that
causes your cup to overflow.
We remain...
Yours in the white fields
