Dear
Co-laborers,
I Corinthians 12: 9 “And he
said unto me, my grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength
is made perfect in weakness”. In
spite of our difficulties with our health, God has provided His
sufficient grace.
October 12 was Kid's Day, a national holiday here in Brazil.
God laid upon our heart to have a special event to show the
community of Arembepe God's love for them. The whole church was
invited to participate. Two weeks of planning and prayer
followed; we pleaded for God to unite the church, to work in a
mighty way, to guide every word, thought and action and that all
things would be done to honor and glorify His name, and point
people to Him. The church people offered their talents such as
haircutting, nail painting, face painting, fluoride treatments,
balloon animals, etc., and snacks and popsicles were offered to
every child that came to our Kid's Day Fair. A booth was also
set up to evangelize the children and adults that would come to
our fair. Finally
Sunday arrived and God rained down a blessing that I can only
partly describe in words. Between 1100 and 1200 people came to
our fair, around 800 children and another 200 adults. Many
people who for fourteen years have been invited and promised to
attend a church service came to the fair; if this was all that
happened and people had seen the love of Jesus and heard open
air preaching of the Word of God the fair would have been a
success. But the Lord was pleased to hear and answer our prayers
in a marvelous way. Sixty-four children, one teenager who came
45 minutes walking, and a lady of our churches´ husband all
accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior. Can you say
HALLELUJAH, Praise the Lord, to Him be all glory and praise for
His mercy, power, love and goodness??? We are so grateful to
each one of you who has prayed so fervently for us and our
health. God is doing a special thing in our lives. We are so
thankful that He is always with us and for all that He has
taught through these hard times and for the work He is doing in
the First Baptist Church of Arembepe.
May God richly bless each of you who are truly our co-
laborers with Jesus Christ.
We
remain yours in the white fields,
Frank,
