Dear
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
September 2008
I
come to you through this letter to first apologize for my long delay in
corresponding with you. The
last six months have been the hardest we have ever faced on the mission
field in every possible way. Darla
and I have both had health issues that we are still seeking answers for,
and Satan has used our weakness to prey on our emotions, our minds, and
also our spiritual well being.
I
rejoice to report that God has been faithful to His word, in that while
we have been the weakest, He has made us strong. Souls continue to be
saved here at the First Baptist Church of Arembepe through the preaching
of the Word, Bible Clubs in the streets with children, the Sunday School
program, door to door visitation, seeker Bible studies and all of the
other church outreach programs, including the preaching point in Jacuipe.
Members
have continued to be added both to the church and congregation through
baptism and transfer of letters from Independent Baptist churches of
like faith and doctrine and those members are already being a blessing
in both works.
We sorely miss the fellowship with Bro. Alton Smith and his wife Helen
as they are in the States for furlough and we anticipate their return to
Brazil
.
We are glad to report that our children (two now being adolescents) are
all doing well. They all
take an active part in their own ways in the ministry, helping out in
the nursery, helping open up the church, setting up the sound system and
basically using those young legs to take many steps for us
isnīt
that grand? They get to do
the running that we once did all by ourselves and I am so thankful for
every ounce of help they give to us personally in the ministry.
Please
do not misinterpret my silence as a lack of gratitude for your part in
our ministry. Without you
we cannot remain in
Brazil
and do what God has
called us to do. We thank
each and every one who have sent cards of encouragement and lifted us
continually before the throne.
May God pour His richest blessings upon you for your love of
missionaries and part in our ministry.
In
Christ,
Frank
Brim
