Dear Loved Ones in
Christ,
August 22, 2009
Greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ! God is always
good, but sometimes He pours out a special blessing.
I recently called
Brazil
to check on things and talked to Helenita. She was ecstatic as she
shared the good news of her sister Maria Jose accepting Christ as her
Saviour. This may not
seem like a lot to you, but let me put everything in perspective. I
have been called at least twice to deal with Maria Jose when she was
demon possessed. The last time she had a knife and was trying to kill
her live-in husband. She has been involved in drinking and carousing
as long as we have known her. We had sowed and prayed for her for
twelve years. But today she is a child of the King. Not only that, but
so is Marcos her new live-in husband. He accepted Christ on Sunday.
What a blessing to see this dedicated Christian family’s prayers
answered and their last sister accept Christ. Praise God for His mercy
and REJOICE with us for we are glad!
I recently was led by our Lord to eat at a Korean restaurant,
which I had never done before. I met Sangho, a transfer student from
Korea
studying engineering at
Oklahoma
University
. I invited him to eat lunch with me and through our conversation had
the chance to talk to him about his salvation. He was very open and
listened attentively but claimed to be a Buddhist. One interesting
fact surfaced through our talk. His parents are Christians but
accepted Christ later in life. He assured me he knows how to be saved
but is not ready yet. Please pray with me for his salvation and that
his parents may have this motive of joy. I left him a gospel tract and
have since mailed him a copy of Josh McDowell’s book More than a
Carpenter.
Our son Campbell was blessed to work at Minnetonka Youth Camp
in
Clayton
,
Oklahoma
this summer. This was his first job and he showed a great work ethic.
He also learned to trust the Lord more through this experience. We
thank the Lord for this opportunity, for the growth in
Campbell’s life, and for the Lord’s work in his life this summer.
We are anticipating our return to
Brazil
and thank the Lord that He has provided the finances for our tickets.
We however need to raise some money for a good used vehicle to use
this next term. We need to raise $9,000.00. We ask that you would
prayerfully consider helping us with this need. We love and appreciate
each one of you who faithfully prays and supports us. We pray God will
richly bless you. We remain….
Yours in the white fields,
Frank, Darla, Campbell, Caitlinn, Sofia and Stefan Brim
