Dear Brothers & Sisters in Christ,                                                                                Feb. - March 2006

Greetings in the name of the King of kings! We serve a great a mighty God and the events of the last few days have proved this in the work here in northeastern Brazil.
Denalsie is forty one years old. All her life she had worked in the public health system serving and thinking of others. Six months ago she was diagnosed with lupus. As you can imagine this disease put an end to her job in the medical field. A few weeks ago her father was diagnosed with cancer and possibly is in the last stages of his life. Her husband, Domingos opened a new glass business that is not doing as well as they had expected. Thursday afternoon, Denalsie had one of those talks with God. She told Him that He had forgotten her and did not care about her anymore and said some really harsh things to the Lord. Thursday night on door to door visitation God led us to Denalsie's house and I had the privilege to share with her that God had not forgotten her, but to the contrary, He loved her so much He had sent His Son Jesus to die for her and had sent me to share this with her, all in answer to her talk with Him that day. Denalsie accepted Christ as her Savior, and thanked me for being God's messenger, for she truly needed Jesus in her life. I walked away from Denalsie's house with many thoughts running through my mind. First, Our God is a BIG God and knows and cares for every single person in this world. Second, He loves each one more than you and I can ever imagine. Third, there are many hurting people who need and want Jesus. Fourth, we have the greatest privilege in the world to be messengers of the Good News of the gospel of Jesus Christ.
I also want to share with you the blessing of the salvation of Julio Cesar and his wife Delsy. They accepted Christ in the invitation of the service Wednesday night before we visited Denalsie on Thursday. Please pray for these new converts, that they will grow spiritually and be used mightily by our Lord in His service.
The congregation in Barra da Jacuipe is doing well. Two ladies are preparing to become the first two members of the congregation. One will be transferring her letter from another Baptist church in the state capital, the other is being discipled and next month, Lord willing, will be baptized. Pray for God to continue working in the lives of Eliene and Clarice.
The Institute has begun another semester. We praise the Lord for the five new students and nineteen students total who are preparing themselves for full-time service. Please pray daily for the students and teachers that God will lead and bless each life and each lesson taught.
Thank you for sending and keeping us here in Bahia through your prayers and financial giving. We do serve a great and gracious God and He is still on His throne and is still working. To Him be all the honor and glory. We remain....

                                                                                                                        Yours in the white fields,
