Dear Friends and Co-Laborers,

Firstly, allow us to thank you all for your prayers and financial support; we thank God for your confidence in Him through us in service here in Ecuador. There is always a great deal going on, but not necessarily newsworthy and we are happy to be able to share blessings regarding the work here.
In Olmedo, our oldest and most difficult work, we are currently providing our young teens with a Bible Study directed to their needs; the "Experiencing God" series has been translated and is available here. We were excited to be able to provide it for them and they are enthusiastic about learning in a new format. There are still troubles with the community regarding our presence, but the Lord is good to us and the believers there. We are trying to raise the money to send Paola Farinango to Argentina for Seminary studies at Word of Life; it is going to cost us six-hundred dollars in plane fare and three-thousand for her first years' studies. Word of Life is where Ennie went to Seminary and I'm sure that those of you who have seen her minister can witness to the quality of their curriculum. If you would like to help Paola just earmark the offering or gift for her. She is worthy of your help.
Chincholoma is where our new mission is; what we have fought for tooth and nail in Olmedo for five years now just seems to be "falling into place" for us in Chincholoma. We have ten regular adults in attendance there, as many if not more children and an enthusiasm that really has amazed us.  Almost everyone is a new believer and they are truly seeking the Lord; there is, of course, resistance and the resident witch doctor; but no one has threatened violence yet. Please pray for these folks; one of our moms has a twelve year old in Chemo and she sells stuff in the street to pay for his treatments. She is the most giving! These people really need all the encouragement and prayer they can get.
Ennie's children's show is starting to come together, everyone except for studio crew volunteers and we try to help with transportation costs and food; we would like to see sponsorship grow to support these folks; several local businesses have offered materials, for which we thank God, but what we need is a real financial boost; please help us pray that the Lord would touch hearts here to help. We could easily expend fifteen-hundred to two-thousand dollars a month, (in salaries and materials); Holiday Shows are more expensive since the props have to be made for that specific date. If you would like to see an example of the show, pull up "Vio Q Bueno" on You Tube, the latest shows are the best. Although you may not understand the language; know that the show segments are structured to end the show with evangelistic outreach; Ennie has received positive response from the public; reaching five cities every Friday and Saturday, (Saturday is a re-broadcast).
I continue to work full-time at the Alliance Academy in order to gain credit for Matt and Emil's tuition, since the school is accepting more Ecuadorean students there are a lot of children attending who have never heard the Gospel, and the Lord gives me opportunity everyday to share His love and be an example. Ennie is in her junior year of university; which is why I took her job at the Alliance; so she could focus on the show and finishing her degree. We also continue with the weekly Bible Study at Casa Gabriel, working our way through the Book of The Revelation; I thrill at the thirst these young men have for God's Word. We thank you once again for everything.

Love,
The Bowens
