The last word we received from Bro. and Mrs. Alexandre is that they
have crossed over into the Dominican Republic and will stay a few days
with the Ron Valerio family, who are IBFI Missionairies in the
Dominican Republic. Marie will be able to get the medical
care she needs for her injuries.
Bro. Jacques will cross the border each day to minister to his people
until they are able to return to Port Au Prince.
There is a news interview with Bro. Alexandre on MSNBC that you can
access at the following website:
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21134540/vp/34911382#34911382
It will take a couple
of minutes to load but it shows the devastation of their church
building and neighborhood.
Please continue to
pray for them and their people as they recover from this terrible
tragedy.

To All: This is the latest Email From Jacques.....
To all my children-my sending church-my ministry partners-wbf and
friends;
God been good!... There are more aftershocks and few more houses
collapsed; more deads today things are getting uglier here.
We were going to host pastor Cancoul's widow and his two kids but my
house is not safe at all so it is cancel. They and we will sleep outdoor
again tonight. We shared our last meals and foods today with
hungry neighbors.
Tomorrow we will have church service with those who can show up standing
on our feet outdoor near the ruins of the sanctuary.
However I decided to send Marie back to the states tomorrow Sunday.
There are special free flights for us citizens and residents by the US
gvt to leave Haiti, the US consulate was going to fly both of us to
Miami Today. I will take Marie to the airport consulate to go to Miami
tomorrow after church. I decided to remain on the ground I will try to
cross the border to Dominican republic located 1 hour from here to stay
and work in Haiti from there.
Marie is crying but I convinced her of the decision. She will come back
once things normalized.
All help need to go through wbf. The website is
www.wbfi.net for mailing address.
Thanks for your prayers and financial support to get a relief effort
underway.

Dear Praying Friends,
We received the following message from Bro. Jacques Alexandre in Haiti. They are rejoicing that the Lord delivered them from death when their church building collapsed. I am copying Bro. Jacques' message in its entirety so you can get a feeling of how bad it is there. Please continue to hold them and their people up in prayer that the Lord will protect them and provide the necessities of life.

To all my children/my sending church/ my ministry partners & wbf;
We're alive; but Marie (your mom) has a deep cut on her left leg.
Pray for fast healing because of her diabetes. She needs suture there is no hospital for this type of care but God is in control. Port-au-prince and other towns have been wiped out. (Pastor Cancoul) the former pastor of
Pernier and many others in the churches are gone to be with the Lord. Pastors Thes & Ezechiel are fine. The church bldg in hatt fell flat on the ground. (Your mom) Marie and I were in the church when the angel of death flew over Haiti. We saw death face to face; but God delivered us; God snatched us from her claws; our mission is not over. Actually we sleep on the streets or in the car every night because the house has many cracks we don't know how safe it is with the constant aftershocks.
It is like a nightmare/apocalyptic.... Dead bodies of all ages are all over the streets; smell of cadavers is strong; lack of food; painful screams of the mothers for their children or husbands who did not make it.
Most supermarkets bldgs fell flat with customers; employers; employees; same for most schools etc. On daytime I minister to church members and your mom, though limping, volunteers in the remaining hospitals to help save lives; so many are dead, so many are dying.
Many survivors are exiting port-au-prince for good to relocating elsewhere. People are crossing the border with their wounded ones in search of healthcare. The Dominican gvt has opened its border to all who need help.
Our hatt church membership may go down from 900+ to 20...exodus. But many new conversions.
Many have died & many are leaving town ...exodus. Your mom and I called ourselves lazarus.
We pray for a good relief effort. Thanks to all for prayers...please accept my gratitude.
Once internet and phone are back we will contact yall.
(Daddy) bro. Jacques
