CHARACTER

The World Baptist Fellowship is a legal body, incorporated in 1938 under the laws of the State of Michigan, and later registered as a corporation under the laws of the State of Texas - September 14, 1952. The charter was reinstated in 1968.

The Mission Agency is a non-profit corporation, registered in the State of Texas and governed by its corporate by-laws. The Mission Director is elected by the Mission Committee.

The Mission Committee, in cooperation with the missionary’s sending church, is specifically charged with the responsibility of supervision of all missionary personnel, as well as the financial administration of the various fields, together with the Mission Office. From a practical standpoint, the Mission Director carries on the actual correspondence with the missionaries as a representative of the Committee, and when they are not in session he acts in their behalf and with their authority.

The Mission Committee consists of not less than eleven (11), nor more than twenty-one (21) members.

Constituent churches of the World Baptist Fellowship are independent, sovereign bodies and as such have the right to send their money wherever they please. However, missionaries abide by the decisions of the Mission Committee as representatives of the churches of the World Baptist Fellowship and/or approved Baptist churches, with the approval of the authorizing church.
